Meet Kayla Celeste Grant-Dixon, the visionary force behind Celeste Beauty Academy, Inc. A dedicated alumna of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), Kayla's journey into the beauty industry began with a childhood passion that evolved into a thriving career. With a degree in Communications & Marketing and a minor in Humanities, Kayla embarked on a path of academic excellence and community service.
Driven by a desire to make a difference, Kayla immersed herself in volunteer work, serving at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and contributing to youth-focused initiatives such as the youth ministry at Ebenezer Baptist Church and the non-profit organization Pretty Ponytails in Charlotte, NC. Her commitment to empowering others extends beyond her professional endeavors, reflecting a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education and community engagement.
Kayla's volunteer journey began in Milwaukee, where she dedicated her time to the New Testament Church of Milwaukee's daycare, nurturing and caring for young children in the community. Upon relocating to Tallahassee, she continued her service at the First Presbyterian Church daycare and various elementary schools, collaborating with the Girls 2 Girls service group at FAMU to support local youth and promote education. Additionally, Kayla serves as a board member of Pretty Ponytails, further demonstrating her dedication to empowering young girls and fostering their personal and educational growth.
As a traveling makeup artist, Kayla's entrepreneurial spirit led her to cater to clients across multiple cities, including Georgia, Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Through her work, she not only refined her craft but also gained invaluable insights into diverse beauty preferences and trends.
Inspired by her experiences and fueled by a vision for change, Kayla founded Celeste Beauty Academy, Inc. with a mission to revolutionize the beauty industry. With an original, modernized curriculum developed in collaboration with her dedicated board of directors, Kayla envisions Celeste Beauty Academy as a beacon of innovation and excellence in beauty education.
As Executive Director, Kayla is committed to providing aspiring beauty professionals with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. Through educational and engaging beauty events in cities like Milwaukee, Tallahassee, Atlanta, and Charlotte, Kayla aims to raise funds to establish Celeste Beauty Academy as the first Cosmetology University of its kind.
With a team of passionate individuals and a clear vision for the future, Kayla is poised to make a lasting impact on the beauty industry and empower future generations of beauty entrepreneurs. Her leadership at Celeste Beauty Academy is not just about teaching beauty—it's about inspiring transformation, fostering empowerment, and shaping the future of beauty education.
